So I posted yesterday about Weight Watchers and how I am moonlighting as a vegetarian for the month of June, (which caused QUITE a debate on my Facebook page for some reason!) and I want to give a quick update! I started this vegetarian journey on June 1, 2011 and after today's WW weigh in I lost 9.4 lbs!!!! Now I wouldnt normally post this kind of thing on this blog, I can brag about my efforts on Facebook if I want BUT, I thought yesterday's post needed some follow-up.
Now I'm sure JUST going veg wasn't the only factor here, I did step up my activity, ran/walked/biked etc. and it was the pre-"Time of the Month" week, and I cooked all my meals and didn't drink. I also had a Twix at one point and a couple of Ice Cream cones as well!
The point is deprivation is not required for weight loss! I've lost 35 lbs. in the past 6 months! (See the post Audition Dresses for a before photo)

finally said fuck you to my lapband after three years of misery and mediocre weight loss (25 lbs as it stands) and had my band unfilled yesterday. I'm looking at doing things the old fashioned way, healthy diet and excercise. I'm so excited to be able to eat fruits, vegetables, and lean meats again. I haven't been able to eat much besides mashed potatos and ice cream for quite a while. Here's to getting healthier! -Stephanie
